Financial disclaimer: education only

Saving Optimizer publishes general information about saving money in Canada. It is education only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, insurance, medical, or veterinary advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any product.

We do not know your income, debts, province, family, or goals, and a guide cannot account for them. Before you make a decision that matters, such as about a mortgage, investment, insurance policy, tax filing, or loan, confirm the details with the official source or a licensed professional, such as a financial planner, accountant, lawyer, or insurance advisor.

Rates, prices, limits, program rules, and offers change, and they vary by province and provider. Each guide shows the date it was last updated and lists its sources. We work to keep guides accurate, but we cannot promise that every figure is complete, current, or right for you. How guides are researched, checked, and dated is explained on How we create content.

Worked examples use labelled example figures to show the arithmetic. They are not quotes, averages, or predictions of your results.

The text, charts, and images on Saving Optimizer are owned by Saving Optimizer or used with permission. Featured photos are AI-generated illustrations. Trademarks and brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products and services; their use does not imply a partnership or endorsement.

You may share links to our guides and quote short passages with credit to Saving Optimizer and a link to the page. Do not copy whole guides or republish them without written permission.
