Which boxes ship to Canada (verify at draft)
The heading is the task. Open the box's own shipping page and answer four questions in writing. Does the page say it ships to your province, not merely to Canada as a slogan in an ad? Is the price in Canadian dollars, or will your card be billed in another currency with a conversion you can see? Who pays duties and brokerage if the box comes from outside Canada? Where is the cancel button, and how many days before renewal must you use it? If any answer is missing, do not subscribe to find out.

Value claims vs products you'd use
Write three columns. The price you pay this month, including shipping you cannot waive and tax if it is in the charge. The claimed full-size value, copied as the seller's claim, not as a fact. The items you would have bought anyway, priced at amounts you can see, or marked zero if you would not buy them. Cost per used item is the price divided by the count of items you marked as ones you will use. If that count is zero, the cost is the whole price and the box fails.
Example with made-up inputs. A made-up box costs $40. The seller claims $120 of full-size value. You would use two items, and you would have paid $25 in total for those two if you bought them yourself. Cost per used item is $40 divided by 2, which is $20. The $120 claim is not your value. Your value in this example is $25, so the box costs $15 more than buying those two items. None of these dollars is a real box. Replace them. A trial offer that discounts the first month must be rerun at the renewal price, or you have priced a month you will not repeat.
Duties and shipping on US-based boxes
A box that ships from the United States can be a personal import. The United States Surtax Order (2026) applies to goods that originate in the United States, including shipments under the de minimis thresholds, according to Customs Notice 26-23 checked 29 Sep 2026. Origin for a casual import follows the marking as a good of the United States, even if the parcel is not a simple story. Perfumes and toilet waters, lip make-up, eye make-up, manicure or pedicure preparations, and some other hair preparations are on the 50 percent list. Powders, other skin care including sunscreen, shampoos, and deodorants are not. Whether a sample in a box is on one of those lines is something to check with CBSA (1-800-461-9999) or your carrier. Goods made outside the United States are not subject to the surtax. Ordinary duty and tax can still apply.
